How EK Virtual Dispatch Company works
Students register the company, hire drivers, assign equipment, then search a simulated load board filtered by lane, equipment and pickup window. Because each truck holds a real geographic position, the board also exposes deadhead distance to the pickup. After negotiating with a simulated broker contact, the load is dispatched, tracked on a real road route, and managed through hours of service, delays and exceptions until delivery, paperwork, invoicing and payment.
