EK Virtual Dispatch Company is the practical side of the programme. Students build a virtual company, hire drivers, search a living freight market, negotiate rates, dispatch trucks, manage hours of service, communicate with drivers and brokers, handle operational problems, complete paperwork, bill customers and review profitability.

Dispatch, carrier operations and freight brokerage sit in one connected training environment, from the first load to the Final Practical Exam. All companies, drivers, brokers, loads and money inside the environment are simulated for training.

What you learn vs what you practise

The modules teach the decision; the simulated company makes you take it and shows the result. Load-board theory becomes searching a live freight market. Negotiation scripts become a rate you have to live with. Hours-of-service rules become keeping drivers legal across a full week.

The Final Practical Exam and the written certification exam

The EK Dispatch Academy certificate is issued when a student passes the written certification exam. The Final Practical Exam inside EK Virtual Dispatch Company is a graded simulated dispatch week — recorded practice and assessment that is not required for the certificate.
