What AI dispatch software actually does well today
- **Scanning load boards.** Filtering thousands of postings by lane, equipment, weight, and pickup window is pattern matching. Software wins.
- **Flagging weak rates.** Comparing a posted rate against recent spot averages on the same lane is arithmetic against a database. Tools like rate analytics have done a version of this for years; AI just makes the summary readable.
- **Drafting the first message.** A decent model will write a clean rate-confirmation email or a follow-up to a broker faster than you can type it.
